Al Baretto's story reminds me of your blog entry about the Lady who decided to attend a Born Again church because she felt something's missing. I commented on that via email and told you that I can relate as I had the same experience, and probably is the most common reason why people become "born again" christians. And here we have Al, who was sinning big time while a protestant, and then really found God in the Catholic church. And so it hit me, that though most of us (yes, I am not excluding myself) already know that faith and relationship with Jesus has nothing to do with religion, it is so difficult for us to admit that surrendering ourselves to God is a personal thing, and so we try to blame our being lost to something - religion, family, surrounding, living condition, etc. No matter which denomination we belong, if our faith is really just on the surface, we will always fall. It is not about us (and whatever church or community we are in), but all about Him. So I hope every person who claims to be "in Christ" would just concentrate on sharing their faith to those who have not met Christ and filling heaven with more souls. Thanks, Bo, for showing us what it means to really serve and love God. - ren (from Edmonton, Canada)
